So, an update, long time coming… I cannot say I am a forced remote worker anymore. It’s by choice. In fact, if I am asked to return to the office, I will begin looking for new employment at that point. Also, I am pretty radialized as of late. Wage slavery doesn’t hold the same “power” or “hold” over me it once did. I honeslty don’t care if I improve the profit margins of a corporation in which I have no ownership stake, or democratic say over anything.

Well, it’s not really new, and I have two of them that were located in another part of the house as my ham radio setup, and workbench, but that are has been… somewhat off limits and unavailable for the majority of my workday. So, had a room open up in the house, and I got a small corner of it. So, I moved my one glasstop desk in, so now I can leave the laptop up, docked, and have a second monitor, with a proper keyboard and mouse now.

So, they actually confirmed it, so it’s past rumours now, working remotely for the rest of the calendar year. Only bad part? January is when I don’t want to leave my house. Ever. It’s so cold, I don’t want to go out the door most days. But we also may be going to a new office building when we return? So, that’s a plus there. But, given that, I set up a proper desk rather than an kitchen table, ordered a 27” monitor, and getting it all set up for long term remote.
